There’s a great - and very grassroots - charity started in Abu Dhabi recently called Building Walls of Wisdom that raises money to build small schools in communiities of need. GoNabit has decided to support BWOW and we wanted to spread to word on the great work that BWOW is doing. They’ve already raised money to complete projects in Ecuador and Kenya through Free the Children and are currently raising funds for the new project.
Apart from a strong belief in doing things that matter, we also share the belief that people can acheive more through collective action than they are able to achieve independently. BWOW really is a case of committed individuals coming together for good.

History has taught us that education is the great equalizer in life. It raises income levels, stimulates economic growth, improves child and maternal health, boots resistance to disease, and creates more sustainable environmental practices.
Despite the often-daunting statistics about the number of children worldwide that are not attending school, we know that educational inequity is a solvable problem. We have seen evidence this past year, as 298 girls and 326 boys have enrolled at Emori Joi Primary School in Kenya. In this small community Building Walls of Wisdom’s $10,000 dollar investment funded the construction of a one-room schoolhouse, bought furniture, textbooks and provided teachers with professional training
Securing funding for this project was accomplished in a matter of months as over 40 individuals from all over the world invested a relatively small amount of money into bringing education to the children in this community.
We all possess the ability to create profound, meaningful and lasting change in the world. As more people learn the power of collective action we will begin to alter the course of history for the 1.5 billion children that are currently not attending school.
Building Walls of Wisdom is now working on funding their third school. Join our pledge to eradicate poverty through the development of education in some of the most impoverished communities on earth.
